OK. I've finally decided that I'm going to build a computer. Like I've said before it's going to be used for music, internet, and gaming. I've already put something together, but I had no idea what I was doing :)

I need everything except a monitor and speakers and my budget's about $1000 (this ones a little over but that's ok).

Edit: I upgraded the video card, psu, and os. Now it's about $1200, but that's ok.

Actually, for the budget, it looks like you hit everything right on the money.
Good choice, it will suit your needs well :)

Looks good, but get a 650W+ Power supply, get a Asus Motherboard, there is a good one around $150 on newegg, get the Radeon 4870 and get Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit "Service Pack 1" not that one in your post.

Once you have made those changes, post a fresh list.

Be sure to get the Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L motherboard OscaryU1 suggested. The motherboard you picked doesn't have a PCI Express x16 2.0 Express slot but the video card you picked has is a PCI Express x16 2.0 Express card.

Remove Vista from the list and replace it with XP.

Remove the quad-core CPU from the list and replace it with a higher-clocked dual-core chip.

Aside from that, you have my blessing.
