Hey all.

Wondering if you could help me design a comp, budget : $1200, pretty much just a gaming rig.

I've been trying... with little success... soooo laugh if you will, but help is appreciated!
 
I second what Linux0009 said. Not that a AMD couldn't handle the most current games out there with strong hardware, it's just not as great compared to the i7. For $1200 you can certainly build a killer i7 system.

Assume I'm just inferring based on information I've found, how would you build a killer i7 system with 1200?

If i was going to spend 1200 this is what I would do. Heres a build for $1159.90 including shipping. Youve got an extra 40 bucks to buy a good first person shooter if you want.

Not including shipping charges. With shipping (though there is only one item) it might go over $1200 a little bit, so if you are on a tight budget then you could drop the 640gb hdd for the 500gb one.
