As you may have understood, ive got a big problem. A while ago, I downloaded a folder locker software. A few months later I had to restore my whole computer. I managed to make a backup of my most important files. Of course when I turned on the computer, all downloaded software was gone. So here's my problem. Two of the folders that was on my backup disc was locked with that program. I have no idea what that exact program is called, and there's like a thousand of them. I checked what kind of file type the folders were, and they were __.fpe or something. I googled "open fpe files", but there was no helpful threads. What do I do? I really need these files!
Help me please! I'm desperate!

What do you mean fpe or something? Sorry but 'or something' is too vague to be helpful If you know the proper extension then you can look it up here http://filext.com/alphalist.php?extstart=^A

if you don't mind my asking, what is in the folders that you can't simply get again, retype, reinstall etc?
I would say if you found it from a search engine and downloaded it randomly then a simple search would bring it up fairly high, for instace:
"folder lock software download"
"encryption software download"
"folder encription software"
etc
That should come up with the exact program or atleast something that will open what you need. If you can post the file extension here that would make things a hell of alot easier too to find a piece of software that could open the stuff up
