Help Me Please!

I have been browsing numerous sites, by searching on varoius search engines. The problem arises when i double click on the google search bar (were you type in what you are looking for) It comes up with a list of various sites I have searched for. i have been told that there is a way you can turn this setting off, or delete the contents, by going on the internet options and clicking something. Can anyone tell me how you do this plz.

if you open up the internet options go to the tab labelled content you'll see the button to get to the autocomplete options. you'll need to untick forms for the search bar
