can someone please tell me why my motherboard will only support 2 GB? It has 2 memory slots for DDR2. I got 4 GB to put in it but just noticed that it can only handle 2 GB.

This is my motherboard

so.......if im correct, then i have 2 GB just laying around. Will it do anything if i install it?

Is 2 GB good enough for my gaming needs? I like to play command and conquer.......and other games like that, nothing to fancy......

plese help

How much was your mobo? I guess it just depends, mine was $60 (i got a discount but I am not sure how much) and it can handle 16 GB of RAM. I am not sure how resource intensive C&C is but 2 GB I think would be sufficient and 4GB would be good. I know someone who has 15 GB of RAM, man would I love to take their comp :P

uh....................anyone?

also........with ddr2, is it better to have 1GB in each slot or does it run just the same with one 2GB stick?

if it runs better with two...........can i put both my 2GB sticks in? Will it run off of both but only recognize 2GB?

Your motherboard can only handle a maximum of 2GB, it won't see any more. It has dual channel so the optimum would be 1GB in each slot, and yea, 2GB will be enough.
