where do I go to show you guys what my desktop has

I know it has a 250 gb harddrive , but thats about it

Id like to post the informaiton here

My main use for my comptuer is burning movies and MAKING DVDS

I make my own Movie trailer dvds off of the apple website, so I have need of more speed in processing and encoding things

When I watch a HD trailer , it works fast but after I download about 20 , the pictures never keeps up with the audio and sometimes it pauses

is this cause I need a better video card ?

maybe more ram would help ?

I see, Looks like you have a P4 CPU... dealing with the large amounts of data use are dealing with I would suggest a more up to date CPU like a Intel C2D for example and maybe 2gb of RAM wouldnt go a miss too. Graphics wise maybe summin that is HDCP Enabled for example nvidia 7900 or 8800. Or even summin along the lines of ATi`s 2900 graphics cards that have Built-in HDMI.

Theses are just ideas, im not saying you need them but I definitely suggest a more powerful CPU.

his mobo might not even support c2d

Yeah, true. So marinerules, I would recommend these if you have mid range budget.

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6420 = $184.50 on Zipzoomfly.com
RAM: Any 2GB PC6400 will be fine (I would recommend Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or any reliable brands you know of :)) = Will cost less than $100 definitely.
Motherboard: Any LGA775 CPU socket that is able to hold Core2Duo, Atleast 1 PCIe slot, DDR2 800 capable will be fine = About $100, more or less

Any help for you? :P
