Help me with overclocking

Hello,

I've been interested in overclocking my system AND I attempted to overclock my system. It seemed to have worked but I kept getting blue screens so I reverted to default settings. My system is listed in my signature, can someone please guide me to properly overclocking it.

I think my problem was with the memory overclocking since I wasn't positive in what I was doing.

Thanks!

Regards,
Kyle

The blue screen would probably have been caused by a lack of voltage to the CPU.

What settings did you use in the BIOS when you OC'ed?

^^agree

Blue screen means unstable. You could up the voltage, but that will increase heat, which could result in decreased stability as well. I would google "overclocking 3800+", see what other people are getting, then try and get that yourself. Start out just a bit below, if that is stable, then up the frequency in small amounts until you hit the desired mark, or hit a blue screen. When that happens, up the voltage, but be careful not to overheat. Download speed fan to monitor your temps.
