Help! Motherboard & DDR3 Ram

Im new to the computer world. I am looking at building my own computer here soon. But till then all i have is a work computer. I am wanting to add a couple of hardware items to this computer till im able to buy everything to build a computer. I have a Intel Pentium D 840, i am wanting to know if that is able to support the Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz Ram. Please help. I need an answer fast!

I would say he must have forgot about making the first thread, but it is written exactly the same as if it was copied & pasted or stored in a text doc.
