Can someone please help my computer won't shut down right. I would have to go to the back of computer and unplug the PC(I don't know if this is dangerous or not). when I go to start and click on "turn off computer" and click "turn off", my computer would begin to shut down, then I see the "logggin off...", "saving your setting..." then it says "windows is shutting down...", but nothing happens. I install McAfee and they said I have this virus called "W32/IRCbot.worm!", and they won't take it care of it, I click on "get anti-virus protection now!" but its just send me to mcafee website to buy there software.

Check the section entitled "Computer Security" and click on "Basic Spyware/Virus Removal" and follow those steps.
Also, don't just yank the cord out of the wall. Instead, try pressing and holding the power button until the system shuts down (if it will). Wish I could be of more help. :)

I don't even have SP1! I don't just yank the cord out of the wall, I yank the cord off the computer. LOL.. I know I shouldn't do i, but it is now the only way to shut down my computer, one time I didn't that and my pc stayed on all night long.
