finally decided that i'll be building my next comp...
i'm settin my budget at 1500, that's w/ everything included moniters, mouse, etc....
i'm goin to be doin a bunch of stuff on the comp, recording music, d/ling music, internet, gaming
i'll be playin Armed Assault if anyone's heard of it, basically one of the reasons i'll be gettin a new comp, and under system requirements it says "video cards that do not have full Hardware Pixel and Vertex Shader 2.x support, such as the GeForce FX series or Intel Extreme Graphics, are not supported", dunno if that's important in choosing a vid card

as for the processor i was aiming for the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, that was pretty much that only thing i was sure of....lol
i need at least 2gigs of ram
over 200gb harddrive
widescreen moniter

jus need help pickin out the other parts... thx in advance

Well, for a GPU, right now, the best one to get is the nVidea 8800GTX, it's an extremely good card, won't let you down!

Supports DX10, so you'll be able to play the up and coming games like Crysis with-out and problems.

anyone have any second opinions on the build?? i was lookin for a little cheaper price, maybe a cheaper moniter, and is that the best video card for that price?

under system requirements it says "video cards that do not have full Hardware Pixel and Vertex Shader 2.x support, such as the GeForce FX series or Intel Extreme Graphics, are not supported", dunno if that's important in choosing a vid card

Minimum Specification:

* CPU: 2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor

* RAM: 512 MB

* Nvidia Geforce FX with 128 MB RAM & pixel shader 2.0, ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB of RAM & pixel shader 2.0

* Software: Windows XP or Windows 2000 and DirectX 9

Recommended Specification:

* CPU: 3 GHz

* RAM: 1 GB

* Video Card: Nvidia 6800 and above or Ati x800 and above with at least 256 MB RAM

* Software: Windows XP and DirectX 9

So, in other words
GeForce FX series should be able to run the game
