Hey everyone, I'm relatively out of the loop with computers (especially considering I'm only 19), as I'm more into motocross. Regardless of this, I still appreciate good technology.
I currently own an ASUS Notebook UL80V series. It has norton 360 and Office on it, that's all I need for uni and browsing the net... I also have safari as I like the mac browser.
ANYWAY I'm coming into a bit of money soon and I know a guy who just got TWO ASUS N53Jq-SX's and they are 15.6" screens with blueray and stuff.
He saw how much I liked it and offered to sell one to me for $500. This is a huge bargain. I have a couple of questions, though.
Is there a way I can get my antivirus off my computer onto a new one if I buy it? Same with office.
Is there any chance I could sell my laptop for around $500 to make it basically a straight swap?
Do you guys think this is worth it? I don't know ANYTHING about processors or things of that nature, so I need to know if it's worth dropping $500 on. It's brand new.
I am a university student and I want a computer with a decent amount of longevity. If I can do this deal and move my other lap top, it would definitely be worth it I think.
What are your thoughts everyone? If you guys compare the details of the two computers and it's technical, would you mind going into some detail that a lamen terms so I could understand?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
