Hi,
I have a TP-Link Modem/Router with only one port. Here are the product specifications.

I want to add a Linksys WRT54GL router to the network to enable wireless and have access to more number of ports. I have already tried but it will not connect since the TP-Link one is a router too, and does not give a public address.

Can someone please help me with this?

Regards

It's always best to contact their support people on how to configure their modem/router when connecting a separate router. They will give you step by step instructions on how to do it.

The bridge part is correct if you have a one port modem / router. More than likely you do and you have your credentials for authentication cashed on the modem/router also, unless you click on a desktop brodband dialer, if you have instant internet when you turn on your pc and click the internet, your log on info is stored in the modem router. Some companies like verizon you have to call them to have them to send a "bullet" to configure the modem router.
