help needed!! need a motherboard!

hi guys,

i am looking to build a new computer, but my knowledge on them isnt the best.
what motherboard should i be looking for?
i play a few games such as call of duty and need for speed
listen to music and watch videos/films on the net
what would you recommend?

Yeah... well first lets start out by this- Are you going intel or amd. Then further than, if you are going intel, Core i7(socket 1366) or Core 2(socket 775). Also whats your budget, then we can find some good mobos in your budget.
 
i have heard that AMD is better for gaming so if true i would prefer to go for that. and i think my budget would be around anything up to £150, but if i had to then nothing over £200. when it comes to motherboards i no very little about them, but i have been researching them aswell so hopefully with everyone elses help i will no later on
 
over all, amd is NOT better. The higher end procs fromintel SMOKE AMD, but the low ends from intle are worse then AMD. Got it?
 
ok..thanks guys, been very helpful and i have learnt something new

so you have seen what i would like to bulid my computor for, does anyone want to help me build it. just by recommending what motherboards i should go for and what sound,graphic perhaps video cards also. and of course any other stuff that you would recommend. i no this is a bit of a list but i would be very grateful
