Help Needed Please!!!

My computer has deleloped a problem and i need help desperatly! After the windows screen has finished loading, the display just turns off, its as though the graphics card just goes to sleep! I can stil log on if i try and guess where the log on button is with the mouse so its not crashing! Its running on a Philips HDTV, i tried plugging a monitor in but stil nothing changed! Any ideas? :-(
 
Hold F8 just before Windows starts booting,you will get a list of options,choose Safe mode.It should boot using a lower resolution.
 
Thanks for that, seemed that the comp had lost its display settings, so i restored it to last week! So thanks for your help, im glad theres people like you on here!
