Help needed with corrupted file

I was working on a very important document today when my computer went boom boom pow and crashed, and it wouldn't let me save it because the computer was out of memory storage.

Now when I click on it, I'm given a message about how, if I want to open this file, Works needs to use a file converter, which may pose a security risk if the file I am opening is malicious. When I click OK, I'm told that it can't open because the file may be in use in another application, the file format may not be supported by any of the installed converters, or the file may be corrupt.

I can get some of the document up when I open it with Wordpad, but over than that, I'm not getting into it at all. Any suggestions would be warmly welcome - it's quite an important one!

Have you run Malaware Bytes / AVG / or any other anti-virus / anti-spybot program to see if you got any nasties on your drive?
