I got my monitor in today hook everything up and boot comp and monitor comes up with no signal. I cannot get it to display anything, this is the first boot of this comp...any suggestion would be great.

Video Card installed correctly? RAM bad? Motherboard mounting screw in wrong spot (seriously, i've done it before and had the same thing happen)?

Try taking your motherboard out of the case and placing it on a wooden table. Hook everything up to it (CPU, video card, heatsink, RAM, PSU, and power button) and turn the machine on. If it still refuses to POST, then I would say either bad RAM, motherboard, or video card. Just be sure the motherboard is on a wooden table when you do this, placing it on the wrong material and starting it up can fry your motherboard.

Everything seems to be installed correctly, when i turn it on all the lights come on fans work, I hear initial beep, monitor just not gettting signal, i will be really pissed if something is dead, its a MSI K9N platinum, AMD 64 X2 2.2 gig, a 7600 gts evga Acer 19in monitor, 2 512 of Corsair memory.

Did you plug in the power connector to your video card (if it needs one)?

edit: oh, i posted this before his pervious post.

Can you use the keyboard? Will the lights flash if you press Num Lock and such?

Have you tried the other port on the video card?

Cannot use Keyboard...its not lighting up and neither is the optical mouse.

And ya i switched card to another slot as well

Try another monitor, and like diduknowthat said, make sure the power cable is connected to video card (if needed). If it still doesnt work, do what I said above about taking out the motherboard and running it on a wooden table.

all i have is my lapto, but does the keyboard not lighting up and mouse not lighting up have anything to do with Monitor issue?

If you can use the lights on the keyboard, then you know the motherboard's working. If not, there a very good chance it's more than just say the video card.

After a longer look, everything seems to be hooked up correctly, However i am not getting any beeps from the mobo on start up, looking at he beep codes i see that no beep is Power supply or mobo is bad.

Now i get the led light on the front of the case when it starts, all fans are coming on and optical drive opens and closes, Could this be a lack of power, from the powersupply or is the power supply functioning correctly and its the mobo at fault?
I bought everything at New Egg so i should be able to get things replaced if something is DoA right?

This is the first time i have encountered a problem with hardware not working.
