Help....New build problem

My computer has been together for less than 1 week...It worked great for the first few days, then I left for a few, and now its having issues...It either freezes up, or I get a blue screen which basically says " A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down...."

" A clock interrupt was not recieved on a secondary processot within all interals...."

Its a Gigabytle MOBO with a AMD 955 CPU....All stock

Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have no Idea what to do...

What video card and memory do you have? Do you have the latest drivers installed for it? This is either a memory, cpu or video card issue.
 
now when I turn on, it sounds as if the computer is booting, but there is nothing on the monitor....Any ideas on what to pursue next????

I swapped monitors and still nothing...
 
Yeah it will work but it won't fit in the pci express slot. It will have to go in one of the white pci slots.
 
Talked to Gigabyte customer service...We did a bunch of things, but when we pulled both sticks out and booted, there was no beeping in the case....This meant that either the MOBO or CPU was bad....But I have no way to test them sepertely...
NewEgg is replacing both of them thankfully, as i have no idea how to tell which one went bad...
