hiya guys how are ya? just a quick question, i bought two YS-TECH FD1238 120mm Fan - 4 Pin totalling (250cfm). i put them on a fan controller. when i turn them up to full power a clicking sound comes out of the mother board and windows freezes. i turn the power down on the fan controller and everything goes back to normal. i thought it might be the fan controller so i connected them direct to the power supply which means full power for the fans, and i got the same problem:( what could it be

I don't think the motherboard can be making any sounds since nothing on it moves(unless you have a fan on your motherboard). Can you post the specs of your PSU? and are these fans LED?

yes please post the specs or a link. But It might be an issue with your psu, the new fans might draw a lot of power and you may have been close to your psu's max output to begin with so that could at least be some of the issue.

the spec

heres the spec guys:

Asus P5ND2-SLI motherboard
Pentium D 3.4 overclocked to 4.01
Geforce 7600GT graphics card
Atrix 500w psu
Pioneer dvd-r
Western digital 250gb hard drive.

these fans do not have leds....only 1 has which is a 80mm which i dont think pulls much power. Also when i do have this problem the red LED at the front of the case flashes.
