Okay, So i got around to installing my ECS Nforce 3 board and 754 semperon 3100 today, well actully last night, but i was to tired to come and post about it then.

Anyways I did the normal take out the old mobo, put in the new, put in the CPU added thermal paste ut on the ehatsink, put the main mobo power the AUC 12v power plugged in the harddrive and all of that.

Whgen I press the power btuton to turn on all the fans and everthing turn on, it apperes to work, the very first screen show's up and it says cou and ram informated, and says to press DELETE to enter setup(for bios) just the normal screen that comes up first.

But here's the thing, When I press DEL nothing happens, it's almost as if its frozen.

I tryed another keyboard, another mouse, resetting the CMOS via jumper. I don't know what to do, Ussaly I have a problem like this but tis something dumb like the harddrive cable was only half plugged in and i sit there fusterated for hours to find out it was something dumb...I checked over everything this time with no luck, and I've never had a problem like this one so i don't know what to do... PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

10$ to the person who give's me the anwser that work's.[Paypal only, and I'm serois, If you tell me something, and it makes my machine work again, then I'll paypal you 10$, FIRM no trying to get me to go higher lmao.]

I'm just that fusterated.

I know you said you tried other keyboards... but have you tried any PS2 keyboards? Does it get past this screen?

Yes, Actully both were PS/2 keyboards. Although I tryed using a Ps/2 USB adapter and plugging it in that way.

And for mroe informated that i recently found out. If i start pressing delete right when it starts up(before my moniter starts waking up, yeah its old :( ) then instead of saying PRess DEL to enetr setup it says Entering setup, or something similer, so It leads me futher to belive that its freezing for some reason. arggg :(

Are you sure your power settings are correct for your processor. Check where you plug in your keyboard , it might be a broken connector. Is there any settings on your keyboard to prevent it from pressing certain buttons?

Is the cpu and ram the right spec for your mobo (speed wise), could also be that some of your pre drivers cannot be detected

Put in the minimum ammount of hardware at first e.g 1 harddrive 1 ram stick 1 opticle drive and try it from there. If not i ushaly build the whole thing again taking it all out and puting it together again!

Yes, and i could press delete at the very begging, so it at least works.

That's all that's in there.

He probably broken one of the processor pins that could cause to freeze to death.
Nope, not that careless, plus it wouldn;t be likly to work for a few seconds then stop if it was a CPU pin. And it would have to be completly broken off perfect or i wouldn;t even be able to get it in.

Anyways, I fixed it. What was the problem? I have no clue. I took everything out. Put everything back in, and it works. Although in that time my computer power on button broke, and I have to use a screw driver to connect the two power on pins that the button connects to on the motherboard. Arg.

Guess what now you need to give yourself $10. In conclution I think it might have been a loose ram card or pci card because thats why it worked when you put it back together.

No I dont, I didn't give my self any anwser :P I acedently fixed it, haha.

I don't think it was the ram. Beucase I reseated it once, I tryed each stick seperatly once, so that is a total of 4 times with the ram. Also I'm not using any PCI cards so IDK. I would like to figure out what it was though, just for curositiy.
