OK - novice here looking for assistance...
I have a laptop that all of a sudden is not connecting to the internet; was working fine earlier today - was working around the house and now I do show a wireless connection to our router but have the 'yellow !' where the wireless signal bars are. Yes, I do have the wireless turned on.

I've re-booted along, dis-connected / re-connected and toggled the wireless on / off along w/ run a 'Diagnose Problem'
System: Windows 7 Home Premium

Diagnose comes up w/ a problem of:
"Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP Configuration"

BTW - Other laptops connect just fine. I also cannot connect the problem laptop direct to the modem via an ethernet cable.

Suggestions???

Thanks,
Steve

Have you tried cycling your router? Turn it of for a few minutes and turn it back on, this can often resolve issues such as this.

sometimes windows set's your IP as static and that will mess up your connection if you havent asigned it a IP manually if so just set it back to the recommended settings which will automatically give you a IP from the routers DCHP service
