help, no OS will onstall

hey, my computer is having some problems, I'm trying to install a OS, but I usually get a "user.exe" problem thing, or when I get past that it say's it can't find something on the disk (alway's something else) and if i do (after 50 tries) get an OS installed it will start off ok, but then give me more and more BSOD's I've tried win, XP pro, win 2000 (server) win 98, all give the same problems, I've formatted the HDD a couple of times, shredded it, deep formatted it, tried diffrent HDD's reinstalled the Bios but nothing works. any Idea's?
 
yes, I think it might be the ram. I'll run some checks (or pop in a new stick becouse I was planning on upgrading anyway) as soom as I get a chance,
