I am trying to build a new computer:Asus P68Z68 V Pro motherboard
Intel Core i7 2600k
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (CPU cooler)
GSkill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 2x4 GB
Video card Radeon HD6850

All are installed on the motherboard....I hook up the power supply Corsair AX 750 and connect the video card to my monitor and there is no boot (no video) also no beep.
the 24 ATX and the 8 pin ATX are both connected to the power supply the PCI E power is connected to the video card. The CPU is seated with the little arrow on bottom left and the two small pins are aligned with the notches on the processor. All seems to be OK but I must be missing something.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong???

reseated but still no boot and it is all very frustrating.....their must be some thing that I am overlooking.....but it was a good thought

when you hit the power do the fans and stuff spin up? if so do they sound like they're going too fast, louder than they should be?

Did you put the standoffs under the board in the correct places. Only under the motherboard grounded holes? Sure you got the Power button connectors on the right pins? If the power supply has a switch on the back, are you sure its on?

Always appreciate replies....the motherboard is not in the case no stand offs needed....this is a test to see boot only before I put it in the case...when I hit the power (power button is on the motherboard) the fans on the cpu cooler and video card turn on....the power starts and after a few seconds turns off and a few seconds later turns on and stays on I can see the attempt at booting but it never makes it.....

Asus P68Z68V Pro motherboard has a built in chipset for graphics and I used the Radeon 6850 which was unable to override the onboard chipset once I plugged into the onboard DVI plug everything was A OK

Look in the bios when your using the onboard and look under your video when booting setting and set it to PEG.
