http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133154

my questions are:

1)will this motheboard be compatiable with this case?

2)does this motherboard accept pentium 4?

3) if it doesn't support pentium 4 can i just put in any random intel pentium 4? ( i am planning to pull the pentium 4 out of my old motherboard to put it on this new one )

4) sry i am a beginner but does this case have the spot to put in atleast 2 CD rom and a DVD rom?

5) there are many fans in this Case how would i able to have so many adaptor on my motherboard to support all the fans?? or do i have to buy extra cables??

please help me !!!
thanks guys !!!

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) N/A
4) Yes, that case can support up to 10 CD/DVD drives
5) The fan connectors are "double sided"...they plug into the cable from the power supply (called a molex connector), but then have another connector that you can plug stuff into....let me show you a picture:

See how the connector has two "plugs"? One is an "input", one is an "output"...they do this so that you have enough power connectors for all your goodies. So no, you won't have to buy any extra cables.

1)will this motheboard be compatiable with this case? Yes

2)does this motherboard accept pentium 4? Yes, but why use a P4 with that mobo? Get a Core 2 Duo if your budget allows for it.

3) if it doesn't support pentium 4 can i just put in any random intel pentium 4? ( i am planning to pull the pentium 4 out of my old motherboard to put it on this new one ) Just make sure the P4 is LGA775 Socket and you should be fine

4) sry i am a beginner but does this case have the spot to put in atleast 2 CD rom and a DVD rom? Yes.

5) there are many fans in this Case how would i able to have so many adaptor on my motherboard to support all the fans?? or do i have to buy extra cables?? 4 fans and you can get a fan controller that goes in a cd bay and has knobs on the front to control fan speeds.

Don't waste a pefectly good 680i mobo on pentium 4!

But yes it will work with pentium.

And yes you have 10 5.25" Drive spaces so you could fit 10 CD-Rom drives if you wanted I think.

I don't know much about the other questions though sorry.

Kent.

how do i check what kind of pentium 4 processor i have??? i thought pentium 4s are like the 478 socket????

and thanks guys !!!! thx for helping me out !!!!

err dude?? i am going to be using my P4 until i got enough money for a duo or a quad core man.... so before i get a new core i need to stick with my old one. not that i want to but budget doesn't allow.

thanks.. so... how can i tell??

That motherboard will accept a Pentium 4 that is socket 775, but not the one you have in your sig which is 478.

They do make LGA 775 Pentium 4s, im not sure if they still sell them, but i had seen a few on newegg a while back.

And i would wait for AMDs release of their new toys, they look to be very superior to the Core 2 Duo.....

Just my thoughts.

well i was thinking if i have to get another core
i will get a quad core or something you know.

err.... is there any mobo that is compatiable with 478 P4 and also duo core and quad core?

thanks guys

If i was you learn abit more about PC building before you go ahead, as seems your you lack some knowledge, as otherwise your only end up making errors.:)

well for my old PC i thought its a 92 mm fan i measured my old CPU fan. after i bought it i found out it doesn't fit its too big. so i returned it and got a 88 MM fan after i got the 88 MM fan i found it is also a little smaller than my old fan. i did alot of researches already i have made a lot of posts on this forum and some of them are not even answered.

so please tell me what kind of fan would fit on that motherboard? 88, 92, 110? , 120??
