HELP !! Old computer trouble

I have an ancient computer that I want to use - but my new monitor will not work with it - it won't even fit the plugs. Is there anywhere I could get a cord that could connect my new Dell monitor to my old made computer? Or does anyone know where I could pick up an old cheap monitor?

You can consider buying a quick DVI-VGA connector adapter ... usually $5-$10

lol or u can spend like 30 bucks on an "ancient" one liek u said and try to get it off those antique pirates that i saw on soem show lol (no im jk do wut praetor said unless urs predates the dvi and vga) check to see if the pins on the vga/dvi port or bent that sometimes happens wit my mouse when i do fung swae wit my room

Is your new monitor DVI? i have an adapter to convert it back and forth.

How old is this computer? It might have that vga connector with like 7 or 8 pins cant remember if the made an adapter for those
