First off i would like to say hi to everyone and that i am new to the forum.
What im looking for is either just a Tower or a Laptop. My budget isnt great which is around $400.
I want to get the best for the money. If none of these are up to par for okay gaming then please offer suggestions.
I would prefer to have a Nvidia Graphics Card but wanted to know if these are decent for integrated GPU's....

Laptop: Dell Inspiron $400
Processor: Intel Core i3/ 2.53 Ghz
Ram: 4Gb Expandable to 8Gb
HD size: 500 Gb
Graphics Card: Intel HD
Cache memory: 3Mb
System: Windows 7/ 64bit

Tower: Dell Inspiron $400
Processor: Intel Pentium/ 3.2 Ghz
System Bus: 1066Mhz
Ram: 4Gb Expandable to 8Gb
HD size: 500 Gb
Graphics Card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X4500HD
Cache memory: 2Mb
System: Windows 7/ 64bit

if you want to be able to play any sort of game thats newer, build yourself a PC, laptops just suck for gaming and most PCs you buy have the integrated graphics bullshit which is just horrible i mean for 400 dollar you could build something way better then that, and do you need a mouse/keyboard and monitor aswell? also if you could up your budget to like 500 you would be much better off

well i have to go out here soon, im sure someone else can give you a nice list of parts for that price though
:)

For that sort of money, you would probably need to build up a machine yourself if you want a little gaming. $500 would be more reasonable. Don't dream at $400...

i could try to look and give you a list of parts, but im not too good with it yet, i have learned alot since i have been on here though so i can try

Any Help would be nice. And what all would i have to buy besides a motherboard, processor, graphics card, ram, power supply, fans?

I also have a Hp Tower. Its older like 2008 or 2009, its a Hp Pavilion a6403w. Would it be cheaper to just upgrade the parts inside that?

hp sucks, never buy them, y not build the whole thing from the ground up for a higher quality and more reliable comp, plus more power to performance ratio normally, couple cases of better on prebuilt but few and only at low price points.

Well i decided that i am building from ground up. So far i have THE CASE!!! lmao i want to go with the intel core i3 processor(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115068) and maybe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130301
But for the price do u recommend any thing besides this lol and my budget has changed a lil

wrong socket board, the phenom ii x4 955 might be better depending on the games you want to play and the amount of multitasking you do, i'd say to just start a new thread of straight "what can i do with this budget?"
