Help on buying a video card

7600GT is a good card or,newegg has a 7800GT for $130 thats a load better, forget what was up with it,but it caught my eye

jeez, wasn't the 7800 like $500 just a year or two ago?

i'd snag that if i didn't think my computer would bottleneck the hell out of it

You should not base your purchase on the card's RAM. There are many other factors aside from this. Yes, typically cards with faster/better RAM are better cards. However, I'm sure I can find cards that have GDDR3 memory and are slower than GDDR2 cards.

As for the card, as many others typically suggest, I'd look into the Geforce 7600GT. It's a better card for basically the same price.

And for your VGA/DVI question, yes, you can have duel monitors though VGA and DVI.
