if im not mistaken...a 970 can be unlocked to a six core chip

how do you unclock a quad core to a six core??? seems.....impossible

Not this 970. The only 970 that is really a 6 core with 2 unlocked cores is the HDZ970FBK4DGR CO stepping. Its only a OEM and rare.

ah. like I said I don't realy want to waste my money on a six core If It won't serve much of a purpose I just need a good CPU for gaming.

I can't speak to many aftermarket coolers, but the one I'm using is great for it's price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118019. It's keeping my 965BE @4GHz at around 34ºC idle and mid to high 40's under load. The case you linked is actually a bit wider than mine so it should fit fine.
