I have a XFX MB-N680-ISH LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard, I made a mistakead now it's not working, can some on tell me how to reset it?

There should be a clear jumper near the motherboard battery, you just move it over to ground it for a few minutes then move it back. If not just take the boards battery out for a few minutes.

What mistake did you make?

Did you try to update your bios and make the mistake while doing so? If so, sorry to hear it, say good bye to that motherboard.

If you just need to reset your bio's settings, then do as advised by Stranglehold. >( obviously a Ted Nugent fan)

Do i need it to be running while i have the battery out, cause i already did it and no dice men. I'm trying to move the jumper now.

That board has a removable bios chip I think, if so and you screwed it up with a bad flash you could get XFX to send you another one. Na its not Ted Nugent, it life between birth and death:D

Yes I did do that, so it's dead. Wow, i'll never make a mistake like this again, so is the rest of my hardware messed up to or should it be okay?

No No you dont do while its running! Shut down and unpluged when clearing the bios with the jumper or battery.

If it doesnt boot after clearing it when you had a bad flash its probable dead. Try calling XFX or send there support a email and see if they will send you a new bios chip.

Thanks for your help, i thought myself a lot about computers but there is still a lot i have to learn thanks again!

If it was a bad flash and the board has a removeable bios chip it doesnt kill the board they just need to send you a new bios chip. Think alot of if not all XFX boards are made by Foxconn.
