Recently I tried to access some blocked websites in Singapore but the ISP blocked it. My friends told me that using an online proxy server will bypass the ISP and open up the blocked site. Is this true? The websites contain some politically-damaging comments and thus have been blocked. I will also like to ask if you access a website by a online proxy server, does the visited website still get recorded by the ISPs?
E.g. I want to access (blocked_website).com so I use an online proxy server like (proxy_server_A).com. Does the ISP record the visited website as (blocked_website).com or (proxy_server_A).com or even (proxy_server_A)/(blocked_website).com?
Also can anyone provide me with a list or trusted and easy-to-use online proxy servers?
And before you ask me, NO I DO NOT visit sites of sexual nature.
