help on what driver i need

hay all im not sure if i ahve the lastest driver n directX for my v-card
i have a Asus 7600GT
and also does anyone noe why im only getting 60fps on counter-strike? all resolutions give the same fps

Ill bet you have V-Sync on with your refresh rate at 60 Htz.

why do you want more than 60FPS ??

If your screen refresh rate is 60Hz, then you will not see any difference between 60FPS and 100FPS. Because you screen can only display 60 pictures per second.

And as I know human eyes can't see the difference between 50FPS and 100FPS

I don't think you have a problem

i have DirectX 9.0c, how do u turn off V-Sync.?

Keep V-Sync turned on, it reduce tearing

wats tearing? i want more than 60fps because its feels smoother, its a gamers thing

it doesnt look smoother.. its an ego thing.. just disable the fps meter on the screen and you would have been fine

anyway... the Vsync can be disabled in the advanced display settings.
