Help on Wireless

So this is what id like to do i have two wireless routers Linksys just for home..What i want to do is put another wireless out in the gurage so i can work on my car but i dont want to like run a cable or somthing that far lol..So i was wondering can i setup a router in the gurage router in the house and they can communicate so that the laptop in the gurage can get internet?
 
Is it technically possible? Yes. Is it possible with what you currently have? No...

As far as I know, most Linksys routers don't support this by default. You'll have to load at least one (preferably both) with some 3rd party firmware such as DD-WRT and set one as a wireless bridge/extender/whatever you want to call it.
 
little lost here haha sorry im somewhat good at comps but im lost on how to get two wireless routers to communicate..it says on the routersWireless G not sure if that makes a difference prob not
 
ok thanks guys when i get home from work ill check that link out let you guys know if i have any problems...now this is to my linksys router? And i install this on both or jsut the one hooked to the modem
 
so i found the software thanks for the link..now First: which router do i install it on or is have to be both? Second which one to use there is two:

dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin
dd-wrt.v24_micro_olsrd_generic.bin

you probably should install it to both. and I am not sure which to use. I'll check it out in a minute.

EDIT- I am actually not to sure what to install. I started this on my old router, but then I ended up not needing to, so I never finished.

Ok i will wait..its really no big deal right now i want to do it my laptop gets like 2 bar which ya know might go in and out so i thought about getting a router for out in th gurage.
 
Just wondering what i could i use to put in the gurage to get internet from my wireless router? So where it would pick up the signal and then give better signal for my laptop in the gurage?
