Help opening old files

Yeah, we have a couple files on my computer at work that I need to open but when I try it always has to go to the internet to find what program to open them but it always comes up empty handed.....so under properties when I right click it, it says AI File.......open with: unknown application?

I really need to get to these files if anyone can help.....also if it is any help this is a picture file, I believe it was created by adobe illustrator but I am wanting to know if there is another way to open them because adobe is crazy expensive....
 
Well you can open these pictures using windows picture and fax viewer.Right click on the file choose open with and select choose program.In the list you will find this prog and tick the always use.... if you want to you this prog to open all pics with the same extension.
 
YEah

I tried that but all it tells me is that there is no preview available......But trust me there is a picture there :eek:
