Help, pausing in games

My games, such as Most Wanted, run fine but every 1-2 minutes freeze and the sound loops, which lasts about 3 seconds. Then it's fine after that. It's kinda annoying. Do you think it is videocard related?
 
It looks like your system can handle it. If you aren't far in the game or can save it. Try re-installing the software, this has solved problems for me before. It's normally smart to start with software just in case.

Also, download the latest patches for the game and graphics card if you haven't already done so.

That is the EXACT problem I'm having, except the lags aren't but a second. However the sound loops and everything. Most gams will just lag once when they start out and run fine. Half Life 2 has been a bit more of a pain, but usally after running for a while it smooths out.

Try some other games and see if it smooths out. Or...perhaps we should both get new RAM. I have a pretty strong feeling it's RAM related, and I beleive you have the exact RAM I have :P
