Help-Pc to play on Plasma in 16:9

I have just hooked up my computer to my 106cm plasma as my monitor just died, and I am trying to set it so i can view it in 16:9 in stead of 3:4 streched across the screen. For the life of me i can not find any monitor settings on the pc to change the setting.

Do i have to upgrade my video Card?
Is there a driver i can download to make it run?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, first list your video card model so we can let you know if you need to upgrade it.

You can search for a 16:9 resolution on that page, then right click your desktop, choose Properties, Then choose the Settings tab, and see if you have any 16:9 resolutions.

If not, it either means your card doesn't support those resolutions, or you don't have the manufacturer's driver installed.
