I am looking for a laptop that can handle playing games like Age of empires, total war, fallout 3, starcraft 2 when it comes out, suggestions?

Yes
Wait a couple of weeks (less I think) for OEM Manufacturers to release Windows 7 on a new laptop
Note: Not Vista installed, with free upgrade to Windows 7 when its released

Much better off ;)
And you'll likely get some good deals from the leading manufacturers

He makes a very very good point but if what you are looking for is a brand name and I think you probably are you can go Dell, Acer Those are the 2 I would prefer.

(If you go Dell get a deal Studio they have big screens fast processors and are very solid computers)

well...

Do you have to have a laptop?

A desktop would be so much better. But if you have to go with a laptop, I wonder one thing... whats your budget? My laptop is really great, I got a Dell Inspiron 1520 with the 2.2GHz Intel and nVIDIA 8600m, 3GB of RAM and a large hard drive. I can do a lot on it too; I edit a lot of videos and play some games, but it also cost me over 3k (USD).

But it struggles big time with some games (eg Fallout 3). It has a tough time mainly because laptop video cards are really limiting. Note the "m" in my video card identifier (nVIDIA 8600m). Its the mobile version of the nVIDIA 8600, and its the Dell nVIDIA version which is dialed back some due to manufacturer heat concerns. Don't get me wrong, I love my Dell, but when I buy (or build) my next computer, its going to be a desktop.

If a laptop is really what you want then I'd recommend Dell XPS or Alienware. Yeah, I like Dells, I love mine and I have seen a lot of Dell laptops stand the test of time. Dell can build one heavy duty laptop.

Also, realize that a gaming laptop will be heavy. So if your planning on lugging it all over, dont get a gaming model.

Just my opinion.
