Help Picking Out Ram...

Hey,

I'm building a computer and I need some help picking out RAM... I have about $100 to go towards it and I was thinking about getting Corsair because I have heard good things about them. My computer is going to be used mostly for gaming. Here is the motherboard & video card that I am going to be getting...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=E145-7810

The motherboard says this about its DIMM sockets... "The 133-K8-NF41 provides 4 DIMM sockets using Dual Channel 184-pin DDR with a total capacity of up to 4GB. You can install DDR 266/333/400MHz Memory."

I looked up corsair 1GB 184 pin and a whole lot of different options came up. Could you guys please help me find a good deal for around $100. Also, if you have any other suggestions than Corsair, feel free to share. Thanks!

Adam, those are nice RAM, I would say go with those unless someone else can find another pair that's cheaper and equal in performance.

thats not bad. if you wanted to save some bucks, you could get the corsair xms pro series. im planning on getting a gig of it in the future.

The only Corsair XMS Pro I could find was at this link...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145466

These cost $127...

And the RAM I showed before, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820148007 are only $109.99.

Anyways, let me know if I'm missing anything because you said I could save a few bucks going with the corsair xms pro... Also, how do these two types of RAM compare up?

Thanks!
