(help please?)a kick ass desktop for under $1700?

hi im new here, and i heard people on this forum are really helpful to confused guys like me. im looking to buy a new computer and are confused about what kind of specs i should have on my new PC. i have a budget of $1700 and is mainly gonna use the computer for gaming and producing independent movies. i need a dvd burner drive and 400G of space too.
can some guru help me out here? (do not include the screen, or speakers)

ok heres a quick build up:
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (to be overclocked)
-2 gigs Corsair XMS Pc3200 (2x1gb)
-DFI lanparty UT nForce 4 socket 939 mobo
-x2 Segate 250gb 7200rpm hard drives
-XFX 7800gtx 256mb

comes to like 1500 with 200 left over for a mouse and keyboard and case and maybe a sound card.
 
my "kick ass" system costs 1800 with shipping.
look in sig.
i already had a moniter.

it also includes speaker "2.0..." and a logitech keyboard and mouse"


its really nice and very fast


edit: Big saucy bob, you also need a o/s like OEM XP HOME
