hi,
i'm about to buy a laptop, but i have a big question which i really need to know.
Intel Core 2 Duo T5450,
but as it is dual core, does this mean that it has twice the processing power it states on the website?
which is 1.66Ghz.

thanks,
andy

In theory, yes, you get double the processing power. Not all applications support multicore processors thoguh, so you'll only get single-core performance out of them. Even though so, you'll notice that with multicore processors your applications generally run smoother, and the system is more responsive. Plus, you can run more CPU-intensive applications at once.
