Is the Amd Athlon 64 xp3500+ w/FAN,socket 939 better than the p4 3.2 ghz (LG775)

all depends on what you going to be doing with the PC, are you wanting to play games? Let us know what you intend to do with it and we'll have a clearer idea

If you are going to use that pc in ur home for game/multimedia i sugest you to buy P4 3.2 GHz.

well i wanted to find out which one was faster and i want to use the pc for games and work (im in highschool) but which ones faster

Well the A64-3500 is clocked at 2.2Ghz and the Pentium4 530 is clocked at 3.2Ghz ... so naturally the Intel one is faster. Whether or not it's better is dependent on what you are doing.

You said gaming, so i would go with AMD, clockspeed isn;t everything.
