right guys iv recently had a computer built for me <spec below> and everything was going ok but the screen has some serious flickering happening , ive instaled the latest drivers for the screen <sony SDM-S51> but no joy , ive instaled the latest drivers for my graphics card <radeon 2400 HD> but still no joy .
one thing i have noticed is the screen refresh rate will not go higher than 60 hertz do you think the screen is too old for the computer or is the graphics card knackered

right guys iv just been searching through device manager and what ive found out is a lot of stuff seems to have no drivers installed but if i try to update driver it says i have the best driver installed ???

here is a list of a few that have no driver installed , iv also installed a piece of software called radarsync which checks your computer for out of date drivers and it says im up to date ???

direct memory access controller
motherboard resources
nforce memory controller
numeric data processor
nvidia nforce pci system management
pci standard ram controller
programable interrupt controller
system board
system speaker
system timer

how can all these have no drivers installed ?????

another issue is memory total and available there seems to be a big difference

what is your resolution? on my screen, i can have it at 1024x768, and get up to 85 hertz refresh rate. but at 1240x1024, i can only have it at 60, so its probably the refresh rate. as for the fickering, make sure the screen and GPU are properly connected. if they are, try a different monitor. Still the same thing, try a different GPU. hope it works out for ya!

I just had a quick scan through your post and firstly 60 Hz is the normal refresh rate for PC's, so thats OK; perhaps you might try lowering the refresh rate and see what that does...

Perhaps check the connections to your screen, GPU to motherboard etc, to make sure they're all good.

Also, try your PC with another monitor, your television will do if you have the right cables/ports on it; just to see if that makes a difference.

Another thing, to check that the problem isn't with Windows, would be trying another OS on your PC live on a CD, if you know how, though don't worry if you don't; it probably isn't Windows anyway so thats not really important.

What makes you think those drivers are not installed? Are there yellow ! points beside them in device manager? If so, its a Nvidia Nforce chipset. If out what Nvidia chipset you have go to Nvidia site and download and install the latest chipset drivers.
