Help Please...

Well i was using ma computer, and i decided to clean up cause it was getting junky, and slow.

So i run this program ncleaner (google it)
and it deleted soem of my icons.
Im like WTF is going on?
so i restored, and i restarted when i restarted i got soem boot eror, it told me to go into R "repair" and try to repair it
and i did that messed around dint fix it then the eror changed to
missing ntldr
and i installed win 7 on my other hard drive so i can use ma pc.


BTW before it was dual booted winxp/win7

I need to get to my files, anyway plz.

If you tell me comamnds ill go into repair
and write them in and hope it works

URM. in the reapair console type help and it should show you all the available commands

FIXBOOT
FIXMBR

Ok now i try to boot into xp i get this error:

Windows Failed to start A recent hardware or software change might be the cause
1.Insert Windows instalation disk
2.restartpc
3. Click repair PC

If u dont have this disk contact system admin ...

File: \boot\BCD

PLZ help

Also.. I've Been doing some reading and i read that
Winxp Uses: Boot.ini to BOOT UP
Win Vista/7 uses: BCD to boot up

My HD that had Win XP on it ALSO has WIn 7 on it/ DUal booted

Sooo... When i ran Nclaner it corrupted or deleted the BCD not alowing me to boot into the dual boot screen

I am not runing Gparted to remove the partion from my HD containing win7

When i have both hd's in it says NTLDR is missing

I'm not sure what you were using to setup dual boot before, but if I were you I'd try and install grub and see if it will boot after that. Check the following link for instructions on doing that: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351
