Help please

I just finished building my computer, and when I hook it up to my moniter, the it says "no signal". Do I have to do something for the VGA on my MB to start working?

Have you double checked all your connections, cleaned terminal with an eraser, etc.? Your monitor could be having a bad cable or your monitor is going bad. Recheck if all the cables are well plugged. Try new power and data cables to the monitor. If all else fails, try it on another computer and see if it works.

Do you have a dedicated video card or is it on board graphics? If you have a dedicated card, does it require the 4 or 6pin power connector from the power supply?
