So, I tried to swap out my stock cooler with an 212 evo, but after I've installed it, my computer won't boot. When i power it on, I can see the lights on and hear the fans running but nothing shows up on my monitor and then it would just restart on it's own after a few seconds and the whole thing would happen again(like it turns on then off, then back on etc) I'm really scared and don't know what to do. Any help please?
The only thing that I can think of that can wrong is that I accidentally got a tiny bit of thermal paste on my cpu(the side the connects to the motherboard) and I wiped it off. I also dropped my cpu from the motherboard onto the bottom of my computer case but the cpu looks undamaged. Lastly, there was some static discharge when I was working with my computer. The discharge happened on like the side bracket where the CD drive is placed (was part of the case, I think)
Any and all help is appreciated.
