So I was putting in a second stick of Kingston 512MB DDR400 in my computer to accompany my Corsair 512MB DDR400, and I turned the computer on and I got a blank screen with 4 beeps. Then I turned the computer off and removed the Kingston RAM and my computer gave me three beeps with a blank screen. I then waited a while, turned my computer on with just the original Corsair RAM, and the screen came to "CMOS checksum error... Defaults loaded."
uhhhhhhh??? I thought that a CMOS checksum error was a bad CMOS battery? Could me putting the new RAM be connected to the problem? Is there a jumper setting I should adjust??
My mobo is a SOLTEK KT-880E-GR
thanks very much for the help
