help please

my friend is having problems with his comp. he says that his screen keeps going black,a nd when he scrolls uyp and down a page its slow, and when he move around a windows its slow. any ideas? i got him to go to processes..but something then when wrong agian.
 
well, first of all, what graphics card does he have? Is it integrated or an actual card? If its an actual graphisc card then you can go on the website, ati.com or nvidia.com, or whoever make the card, and download the drivers for the specific card. Then you just install the downloaded file and reboot at the end.
