i just switched my case so when i get everything into the new case i go to power up and it powers up but one of the wires was rubbing on a fan so i pulled the cable out of the power supply, i open the case and fix the wire wich has no damage, i reconnect the PSU and hit the power button but now the cpu fan on top of the heatsink spins for like 1 second and thats it, any ideas?

From your description you probably lifted the power plug for the fan while moving around inside the case without realizing it. With it being raised up it would barely be making the needed contact. Check the wire going from the cpu fan down to the board to see if the plus is loose.

Well the thing is, nothing else powers up either its not just the CPU fan, the cpu fan is the only one that shows some life then dies

I've a feeling you have damaged your PSU... Try using a working one, and tell us what happens (if you have access to one).

There is likely a short circuit somewhere-- a pinched wire or the case touching the motherboard somewhere it shouldn't be.

If that is still the same supply you can recycle it by unplugging the ac cord, turn the psu switch on, and press the power button on the case. This will discharge the capacitors inside the supply itself. Once this is done replug the ac back in and try firing it up. If that sees no results plan on a replacement.
