Hello all. I have just ressurected my old Hewlett Packard Silver One laptop from a cupboard to use with my Sony camcorder for work as a tennis coach to film players and then be able to show the footage back straight away using the laptop. I'm having issues though...after a couple of minutes running a box appears saying ' Explorer has caused an error in 9153525756.TMP Explorer will now close' even though nothing on the laptop is open.
The computer doesn't shut down until you click on the box and i've tried everything that my limited computer mind can come up with. Is there a way to clear this as no viruses are being found. Can i do a full reset? I don't even mind loosing all the programmes as i only want to load up the Sony programme for the camcorder. Please please help, for the sake of my pupils!!, i really can't afford a new laptop!!!!

ugh i just typed a bunch of stuff and i guess my internet died........

ok sounds like a corrupt temporary file all you need to do is double click on my computer right click on the harddrive and click properties then click on disk cleanup....make sure you check every unchecked box then hit ok and let it run this will clear your temporary files hope that works let us know

thanks for the reply...but no go...i managed to free up alot of space on the pie chart thingy that show you how many gigawhatsits you have left though!!
any other ideas would be most welcomed:confused:
