Help Please

Ok this computer I am now messing with messed up a while back, and would not even turn on, it would just go to the thing where it says DELL and load, and then do nothing... But now it is going to a screen that says Alert!Cover was previously removed, then below that it says Invalid configuration information-please run SETUP program, then below that it says Time-of-day not set-please run SETUP program.. What should i do?
 
Sometimes as a case gets aged or even on new cases some alarm goes off about the case being opened. That can switched off in the bios. "Invalid configuration" and "time and date" point at the cmos not a Windows problem. If the case is an older model that has been use for a few years the lithium battery on the board is probably weak now where these problem with the bios prgramming information being lost are coming up. Has the bios even been updated? The problems there are more board/bios related.
