this might seem like a stupid question. but i have a desktop and a laptop, the desktop is faster and has more memory. but i like using the laptop cause i have wifi. is there anyway i can set it up so i can use the desktop via the laptop, like remote assistance. is there some way of networking them to do so.:confused:

I would think remote assistance would be a possibilty. You mean for like managing files on your desktop via your laptop? I dont think theres anyway you can actually use the desktops cpu/ram via your laptop lol. But you never know now-a-days.

You are correct on that one, ;) the Program that would establish the remote acces would still have to be processed by the CPU ets of the laptop, so it wouldnt help :)
 
That would be so effin sweet if i could connect my computer to like, the worlds fastest supercomputer and use its cpu(s)/ram and bench with it! That would pwn so hardcore.
 
oh well it was worth a try:( i wounder if you will be able to do this with vista when......... that comes out.

Nope. The betas for Vista have been far from released and i thought the official version was already out? I dont pay attention much.
