Help Please.

I am pretty much a computer n00b when it comes to most technical things, so I thought I'd come here for a bit of help.

I just purchased Age of Empires III and it wont run effectively with the current video card I have. I'm not a hardcore gamer or looking for something top notch, but I'd like to know of any sites with cheap videocards (under 100-150) that will support this game well. Thanks.
 
This is prob the best card you can get for 150 7900gs Great card from the family line of 79xx series card's just like teh 7900gt but just a bit underclocked. Will definately play AOE 3.

This is the 7600gt, this is a great card. for 100 bucks theres many different makes of it(EVGA, ASUS, GIGABYTE etc) but this was the cheapest one around 100 bucks if you spend more then you might aswell get the 7900gs.

as of age they like to keep there cards selling around $100 so even if there old and crappy they still sell around 100 bucks, so this is prob the best card for 100ish but i recromend the 7900gs
 
The first thing we need to know is the kind of slot you have for a video card, otherwise we won't be able to determine a good card that works on your system, try getting cpuz or everest they can tell you what kind of slot you have for a video card
 
i recommend newegg.com or tigerdirect.com. even bizrate.com or pricegrabber can help; they search the major retailers and tell you all the prices (for comparing)

That is not entirely correct. The 7900GS has the SAME frequency as the 7900GT but it has 4 pipelines laser cut and one vertex processfor disabled. I have a 7900GT and I think it has the best price to performance ratio at the moment, in other words its the sweet spot. :D
 
yea sorry about that... I dont own either card's actually but close .. i only HEARD it was a bit underclocked. but still it seems like a good card..

i got a 7900gtx for the price of a 7900gt so im happy
